The multi-award winning Alnwick Stage Musical Society returns to the Playhouse with this iconic rock musical from Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Originally produced as a concept album in 1970 Jesus Christ Superstar tells the story of the last seven days in the life of Christ making its stage debut on Broadway in 1971.

With such classic numbers as “Heaven on their minds”, “I don’t know how to love him”, “Gethsemane” and “Superstar” an epic evening’s entertainment is sure to be in store.

The amazing and immensely talented cast, band and backstage team of Alnwick Stage Musical Society are really looking forward to staging Jesus Christ Superstar in the recently refurbished Playhouse.This very special production is one not to be missed and will certainly be well worth the long wait! Your Visit

We look forward to your visit!

We recommend you arrive in good time to collect any tickets – the Box Office will be open for 1 hour prior to any evening events in addition to daytime opening hours.

Parking is located to the rear of the Playhouse in the public car parks. Parking discs are required to be displayed until 6pm and are available from the Visitor Information Centre located within the Playhouse building. Please check individual car park signs for any time restrictions.

Grab a bite to eat at McKenna’s or why not relax and enjoy a drink in our Playhouse Bar? The bar will be open Tuesday-Saturday 5pm-10.30pm and serves an extensive range of drinks including draught and local bottled beers, wines, a specialist gin list and cocktails.
