After their hugely successful Farewell Tour of 2019, the public demand for another tour has persuaded the Pitmen Poets to ride again…

In October 2022 they will embark on their final, never to be repeated, Farewell Tour of 2022

Ex-Lindisfarne singer and songwriter Billy Mitchell, Warhorse Songman, renowned singer and instrumentalist Bob Fox, leading exponent of Tyneside song Benny Graham, and Award winning Durham songwriter Jez Lowe individually and collectively celebrating the triumphs, tragedy, and humour of the North East’s coal mining heritage, in an evening of great music.

Parking is located to the rear of the Playhouse in the public car parks. Parking discs are required to be displayed until 6pm and are available from the Visitor Information Centre located within the Playhouse building. Please check individual car park signs for any time restrictions.

Grab a bite to eat at McKenna’s or why not relax and enjoy a drink in our Playhouse Bar? The bar serves an extensive range of drinks including draught and local bottled beers, wines, a specialist gin list and cocktails.
