Angela Darling is a local artist based in Northumberland. Originally born in South Africa, she has been drawing and painting since she can remember later studying Art at University. Her work is a bold and instinctual representation of the landscapes that inspire her, fascinated by light and how light and shadow play on the landscapes to extenuate form. She uses colour to evoke an energetic and emotional response to build atmosphere in her work. Angela paints mainly in oil and exhibits and sells her work both in the North East and abroad.
