Acrylic paint will be used in these workshops as this can be diluted for watercolour or used thickly (impasto), straight from the tube.

I am really teaching you to ‘see’, rather than teaching techniques for a particular medium.  We will discover ways of looking at the landscape in terms of foreground, middle ground and distance, and the lights and darks (tone) within those areas.

The course will include comprehensive colour-mixing practice.

These workshops provide a structured approach to creating a landscape painting, which does not need to be realistic, although I think this is a good place to start.

The programme follows through from Session 1 to 3, but could be taken individually.
