Lorenzo Masotto

Italian pianist and composer Lorenzo Masotto presents Clinamen, a solo acoustic piano performance in which contemporary classical music meets the rhythmic energy of progressive rock and post rock. Inspired by the philosophical idea that the smallest deviation can create a completely new trajectory, the music combines post impressionist harmonies, asymmetric rhythms and constantly evolving patterns. Intimate passages alternate with powerful rhythmic structures, creating an immersive journey through resonance, emotion and movement, entirely on acoustic piano.

Lorenzo Masotto is an Italian pianist and composer based near Verona. He studied at the Conservatorio F. E. Dall’Abaco in Verona and continued his studies in Weimar. He has released eight albums on international labels including Whitelabrecs, Dronarivm and Preserved Sound, and performed at Union Chapel and Bush Hall in London, Filharmonie Hall in Brno, Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin and concert venues across Europe and the United States.
