Schools go free
Schools Go Free offers primary-age children from 22 schools in the NE66 and NE65 catchment area two fully-funded cultural activities at Alnwick Playhouse every year, with free travel available.
Activities include live theatre, music and film, plus participatory workshops across visual arts, drama, storytelling, local history, and contemporary dance. The initiative does more than provide a day out: it looks to build confidence and curiosity, and to make cultural participation feel familiar, welcoming and possible.

We’re passionate about giving children and young people access to culture, but we need your help.
This is how your donation will benefit a child or class (based on average class sizes and costs):
| £5 | pays for a child to enjoy a live performance, screening and/or workshop. |
| £10 | pays for a child to have one free visit to the Playhouse each year (activity and transport). |
| £20 | pays for a child to have two free visits to the Playhouse each year (activity and transport). |
| £150 | pays for a free return coach journey from a school to the Playhouse. |
| £300 | pays for a free class visit to experience live theatre, music, or an educational workshop. |
Can you help give more children the chance to experience the magic of live performance and the arts?
